Last time we did this race we won a stage, had three 3rd places and finished 2nd in the points classification with Hoe Guan Yacob.
We came to this edition with some expectations, Jasper Thompson was motivated and in good shape and Keith Townslie wanted to do well in the youth classification. But three bad days (1st, 4th and 5th stages) for Thompson and a fall in the first mountain stage ruined his hopes for a possible podium finish.
Still, even with three bad days and a fall Thompson proved he is still a GC contender by finishind in 9th place.
Townslie paid a big price for helping Thompson and for his inexperience in Tours, so next season, with some time on the track to improve his TT skills, we are expecting a much better result.
Surprising tour for Munroe McGivern, a 2nd place on the prologue and a 7th in Mt. Washington ITT, and he was always in the top 9 until a fall in stage 4 saw him lose too much time.
Notable mention to Burgess Byrne for a 4th place in the youth classification.
Lets hope next seasons RotM or Monte Rosa go better.

Great for Munroe!
